Introducing a new shape in my line of belt buckles. I love working with this elongated diamond, it really challenges my creativity.

For this buckle I used an incredible cabochon of Psilomelane. Psilomelane is a form of manganese oxide. This piece was cut to reveal hypnotic patterns of metallic gray swirls. My photos really don't do it justice!

From there I fanned out with highly polished black onyx in different shapes. Scattered amongst the onyx I used flecks of 24kt gold smalti from Italy in silver and mirror glass in a gunmetal color.
